It's been 56 years of racing at Ardmore dragway, and as we approach the 2011 celebration. I thought it would be fun to look back at a time when drag racing was young. November 1955, the Slow Poke car club prepare for another day at the races. Up in the make shift officials stand (the back of a truck) Bob Bishop and Jim Ragland look over the strip condition. Early Hot Rodders started by a single flag man. Slow poke club president Norman Flowers doing a little custom work on his hot rod. Club meeting at Jim Ragland's parents home.(Guyniece and I built our home on this very spot.) That's all for tonight I will add more as the reunion gets near..R@BMR
