The second stop this year was the Torques car club, Texas Thaw Event. This is the best bunch of guys and gals. They put on a great show each year and the hospitality is second to none. If you like traditional Hot Rods they got plenty. In fact you will see most of them May 8th at Ardmore Dragway's White Walls & Drags event. How about all the cool tri-5's? Johnnie Laird had a tow wagon like this when him and my dad raced A/GD together back in the 70's. Maybe not this cool, but we went a lot of miles in it. Our first smell of Nitro in 2010! This cool car was actually built in Ada Oklahoma by Don McNutt. it won many races in the 50's at Ardmore Dragway. Race got upset when he couldn't drive the Black Magic Fiat...Thats right Grandma said NO! Why do you never see a Anglia with out primer? Herb and Mike were out representing Ardmore Dragway. Cantankerous lived up to its name, spinning a rod bearing. Like I said earlier this was a great show and Ardmore Dragway was honored to have been a sponsor at this years event. Thanks Tony & Ken. See everyone May 8th at Ardmore. s
